The same build our clients pay for.
Not a template, not a "starter" version. One free build a month, worth about $1,500, done by the people who built the sites on the right.
A website of up to 10 pages
Hand-coded, phone-first, one target keyword per page, your Google Business Profile mirrored in the page structure. The same build our paying clients get.
Or a Shopify store of up to 15 products
Theme built for your products, checkout and shipping set up, product pages written from the photos and descriptions you bring to kickoff.
Live in 14 days
From kickoff to launch, as long as your logo, photos and answers arrive within a week. Owners who send everything up front can be live in three.
Everything a paid build ships with
SEO in the code, Google Analytics and Search Console verified, a privacy and terms page, and a login to edit your own text and photos. Hosting is the one thing not included: take the site files free, or host with us for a monthly fee.
02If you don't win
Every applicant gets $300 off a build. Nobody leaves empty-handed.
Complete an eligible application and $300 comes off a website or Shopify store build when the deposit is paid within 7 days of the date you applied. Use it before the pick and then win anyway, and we refund the deposit. It never touches your score.
How the $300 works

Book 15 minutes with Jack whenever you like. He shows you what we'd build and gives a straight price. It doesn't change your score.

Pay the deposit within 7 days of your application date and $300 comes off. After that, it's gone.

Win after using it? We refund the deposit. One discount per build, no stacking.

Jack and Tristen read every application
The two founders score every complete, eligible application themselves. Not a drawing, not an algorithm. Talking to us or buying from us never changes a score.

Winner notified by 9:00am Pacific
The winner gets an email and 48 hours to accept by replying or booking kickoff. No answer, and the next-highest score wins under the same 48 hours. Everyone else hears from us the same morning.

Kickoff, and live two weeks later
A 30-minute kickoff call to confirm what we're building, then the same 14-day build, checklist and launch every client gets.

04Who can apply
Independent US businesses. That's the bar.
The grant exists for owners who are losing customers to a site that embarrasses them, or to having none. If that's you, apply.

- With or without a website today. "We have nothing" is a fine answer.
- Any trade, shop, practice or studio. Product businesses can pick the Shopify build.

We'd rather show the work than run ads about it.
Every site we build is proof of the next one. One free build a month puts that proof in front of owners who'd never have found us, and gives one business a site it couldn't justify paying for yet. That's the whole reason.

06Before you apply

Read the official rules- Is it actually free?
- Yes. Applying is free, winning is free, and the build is free. No purchase, no call and no follow are required to apply or to win. Hosting is the one thing the prize does not include: the winner can take the site files at no charge or stay on our managed platform for a monthly fee, and a Shopify store runs on the winner's own Shopify plan. All of it is in the official rules.
- What if my site needs more than 10 pages?
- Then you choose. Either a free build trimmed to the limits (10 pages, or 15 products), or $1,500 off the bigger build. The same goes for anything with user logins, like a marketplace, member area or customer portal. Shopify's built-in customer accounts don't count against you.
- Does booking a call help my chances?
- No. Talking to us, buying from us or using the $300 off never changes a score. The application is the only thing we judge. Book a call if you want a real price sooner, not to get ahead.
- What happens if I don't win?
- You get $300 off a website or Shopify store build, good when the deposit is paid within 7 days of the date you applied. If you use it and then win, we refund the deposit. One discount per build, and it doesn't combine with other offers.
- How do you pick?
- Jack Sawyer and Tristen Darmodihardjo read every complete, eligible application and score it on what a website would change for the business, how ready the applicant is to start, and the story behind the application. Ties go to the readier applicant, then to whoever applied first. The rules page has the detail.
- Can I apply more than once?
- One application per business. We may open a future round to past applicants, and if we do, that round's rules will say so. Either way, your $300 off is good for 7 days from the day you apply, whether or not you win.
- Will you tell people I won?
- If you win, we may name your business and show the finished site in our marketing. That is the trade for the free build, and the only one.
- Any taxes?
- Any taxes on the prize are the winner's responsibility. The prize value is about $1,500.
